Vacuums and Air Fresheners vs TikTok
Here at One Stop Cleaning Shop, we have recently been shown videos posted on the social media platform TikTok surrounding Henry vacuums and the use of washing machine scent beads (such as Unstoppables) to make your vacuum cleaners smell better.
PLEASE NOTE: The use of any sort of third-party item placed into your vacuum cleaner is extremely dangerous and can lead (and has done) to broken vacuums, and even fires and explosions.
If you are having any sort of issues with you vacuum (whether it be odd smells or not!), your first option is to become the ‘vacuum cleaner’ and make sure your vacuum is fit for purpose…
- Check you haven’t got any items blocking the hose or drum, such as old food, or hair which can cause smells!
- Make sure you’re checking the vacuum after every use for blockages. This extra few seconds can save you a lot of money in the long term!
- If you have a vacuum which can be easily taken apart, make sure you’re cleaning the main body to remove any smells.
- If you do feel the need for air fresheners in your vacuum, then we sell official vacuum ones here. They are specifically made for vacuums, can last up to 6 weeks, and are particularly effective against pet odours.
